Understanding the Market: Who will win the rest of the match?
The market “Which team wins the rest of the match” confuses many bettors or customers because they assume it refers to predicting the full match result. However, that is not the case. This market focuses only on what happens from the moment the bet is placed until the end of the match.
You can’t find it in pre-match options. You can only bet on it after kickoff, once the game is already in progress.
What the Market Means
The “Which team wins the rest of the match” market is a live (in-play) betting option. It asks a simple question:
From the time the bet was placed until the final whistle of regular time, which team will score more goals?
It doesn’t matter what the scoreline was when you placed your bet — the game is treated as if it’s starting again from 0–0 at that moment. So, goals that were scored before you placed your bet do not count in determining the outcome of this market.
From there, whichever team scores more goals for the rest of the game will be considered the winner for this market.

If You Bet on Home
- You’re saying Barcelona (Home team) will score more goals than Real Madrid from the 70th minute to full-time. [Example: 3-1, 4-2, 5-3]
- Your bet loses if both teams score the same number of goals or if the away team scores the most goals from the 70th minute to full-time. [For example, 2-1, 3-2, or 2-3 would result in a loss]
If You Bet on Draw
- You’re saying that both teams will score an equal number of goals from the 70th minute onward. You win if no goals are scored by both teams after you place the bet. [Example: 2-1, 3-2, 4-3]
- Your bet loses if both teams do not score an equal number of goals. [For example, 3-1, 3-3, or 4-2 would result in a loss]
If You Bet on Away
- You’re predicting that Real Madrid (Away team) will outscore Barcelona in the remaining minutes from the 70th minute to full-time. [Example: 2-2, 2-3 or 3-3]
